I know many beekeepers log everything on paper, but I'm mode comfortable with using software. Which do people prefer? I'm currently using a spreadsheet but was wondering what alternatives folk might recommend, assuming they're using software.

Me....I'm old and just write notes paper-style on my computer in a file labelled "hives"
I like paper but seeing your signature reminded me how I loved "Dandelion Wine" so I put it on my Kindle.

Spreadsheet is ideal imho. 1 document per year, 1 sheet per colony. Also ideal for q rearing records as you can get the spreasheet to calculate the important dates for you. I take a little notebook with me to the apiary and transfer data. To the spreadsheet when I get home.
