Hi Guys

As my 15 year old Daughter was very interested in my first year of keeping bees last year, this year I have built a hive, bought all the bits and ordered the bees to get her started with her own hive.

I personally like a drab green hive as it blends in well with the countryside.

However, she, being a teenager :toetap05: and a bit arty would like to paint flowers and bees on her bee hive. :ack2:

are there any paints she can use that are non toxic to the bees that is able to do fine artwork and is waterproof?

Cheers
pete

Daler-Rowney system 3 Acrylic, availible from most good artist supply shops.

And UV resistant? You need the 'graffiti' forum, I think!

Regards, RAB

PS should you not have bought her a shiny new Beehaus and some transfer designs? Tell her to be careful about painting bees on it - they might attack them! And definitely no hornets!
