Anyone else find it difficalt to disolve the Oxalic Dihydrate
powder in the syrup mix or in water before adding suger.
always have powder in the bottom of the jar.
 
Plumber, if you purchase another 3 hives you too will be able to come up such searing insights as post #2 ;)
 
i have just made a litre of it, by adding 45g of dihydrate to 500ml of hot water then making up to 1ltre with 2:1 syrup (ambrosia)=3.2% w/v

the dihrdrate dissolved easily in the hot water

if you have a mixture undissolved dihrydate has you tried warming it up on the Radiator or just wait

Could you use some left over thymolated 2:1 syrup from the Autumn feed.. just to give it some extra Kick?
