Hi
How do you keep and how long can you keep the ready made up oxalic acid sold by the beek suppliers? I don't want to mix the stuff up from granules.

My thoughts are that if I catch a swarm, I would want to treat it with oxalic acid whilst it is still broodless. I just know that my swarm would appear on Saturday evening and the shops are closed!!!!
In the fridge maybe? Don't know.

Thanks

It lasts 6 months or so I think. The main thing is not to keep it from one winter to the next. Keep it in the fridge by all means but that is not essential so long as it is kept reasonably cool. Make sure it is well marked and there is no danger of children getting hold of it as it is poisonous.
