Has anyone bought any queens from the Orkneys,i see there is a queen breeder there called Erland Omand. Interesting to know what these are like.

Aparently they would be vsh bee's,how you would know this for sure in a place with no varroa,i don't know.

So if I was to puchase a mated queen from them they should stay Verroa free at least until the next generation ?

the Shetland beekeeper told me that some one arrived with bees so is he still varroa free? I would imaging Orkney to be the same.
bloody silly but there it is, the SE could have banned that but chose not to. After all bees are not important.
