1 new Nuc and a swarm caught on the 10th July
I have just had a look at the debris on the tray under my OMF I am treating with apiguard.
After 7 days I have found about 20 mites, a couple of ants, lots of beautiful flakes of wax and lost/fallen pollen

what are the black small rectangles?
why are there so many individual bee legs?

Cheers Clare

abundance of legs

presumably simply because the legs of dead bees can fall through the mesh whilst the bodies have to be dragged out of the front door.

Now, if you'd asked why there is an excess of left rear legs, for example, that would have been interesting!!!

A photo would really help to identify the rectangles.
