Observation Hive Management Tips???

Observation Hive Management

Hi all, have a gorgeous, new, shiny Dual Use Obs Hive from website of this name! Collected from Spring Convention. I am on 14 x 12's but the Obs Hive is National, so I have a colony drawing the National frames for me in preparation. I plan to either shook swarm into it or collect a swarm to put in it, which ever comes first. I will keep them usually in a National BB whilst not required in the Obs Hive then transfer the frames as required.

So, question, those of you who have/operate a similar Obs Hive, any hints, tips and suggestions on it's management etc?

I plan to use it a fair it, initially for the children I teach but also for the odd show and/or demo.

You can do either.
If you have a nuc you could just put the frames into the obs hve and leave it in the same position as the nuc.
So get a swarm into a nuc then transfer to obs hive.
Or take some frames from another hive and let them make their own queen or intriduce one..
