Hive Type

Number of Hives
12 and 18 Nucs
National nucs and a very few Langstroth five frame nucs.

These are overwintered nucs so proven units. Pedigree uncertain to be honest, some AMM and a bit of Carniolan.

National £150.

Lang £160.

I will not be keen to let them go until they are on at least three frames of brood. Mid to late April? Weather depending of course.

I live in Northants and am looking :) Have kept bees in past are you far from Northants do you have any NUCs left? :)

Poly Hive is located in Castle Donnington, about 45 miles up the M1 from Northampton.

I still have them all and they will be ready over the next two weeks or so.

Do you still have any Nucs for sale? If so when could they be collected.

Thanks

PH nucs

Just like to post a thankyou to PH and recommend his stocks to the forum.

met up at stoneleigh then monday evening collected two nice langstroth nucs. lovely big queen in one - light fading by the time we hit the second!

hives (poly, of course) now safely ensconced in temporary home. will allow to settle for a bit before i disturb properly but no problems sorting out the runners/roofs/travel screens w/o smoke yesterday evening.

Yes definitely interested. What type of Queen and how old? What is the earliest I could collect - would this weekend be OK.

Only two left to go.

Was three but it has cells due to confinement and so is now in a hive.

Worked every unit on the site, including breaking down a swarmy hive for nucs, did a unite as well, worked double broods and singles, check the nucs and the swarms, total of two hours and not one sting at 16 degrees.
