Nuc or colonies needed North East

Hi All, last year was pretty disastrous for us and we lost our colonies. We are therefore looking for bees, preferably British.

That's my concern, seems to be a bee free area in the north east - or at least no body is up for selling nucs and hives. I'd appreciate it if anyone has details of keepers in the area. Thanks

Have you tried/spoken with the Durham beekeepers association ?

I gave one away last year..but when I started out I had to travel a 1hr drive to get my first bees.
