A few days ago I was in the garage making some room to make some nuc boxes.

I had a completed Thornes Langstroth hive I made up during the summer and it was in the way.

To make some room I have put it next to my hives ready for some frames next year.

When checking the hives today I could not believe the number of bees being nosey going in and out of a brand new hive thats never been used.

I have a WBC hive in my front garden, it's been there for over 15 years, It was brand new when placed there, complete with brood box plus one super, no frames. I have never seen a single scout bee showing an interest never mind a swarm occupying it :). Bees are attracted by smell etc.and as the hive has never housed bees it holds little interest for them. It is possible for scout bees to happen upon it but thus far it hasn't happened.
