Nicot - do you, and if so how do you clean the cups

As per title really, I’ve just made a frame up using 20 of the 100 cups and was wondering about the other 80.
I’ve read mixed advice about cleaning or just buy new and most people have had success by cleaning, but how should you do it?

just wwarm water, or water and soda crystals?
