Hi

First year new beekeeper this year. I have 3 hives in British Nationals. 2 colonies from swarms and a NUC from a fellow beekeeper. Based in Huntingdon.

Welcome to the forum Helen. Enjoy your bees!

Hi Helen and welcome. What sort of year have you had.
I have had a great year at establishing my garden apiary with the 3 hives. I have lost a queen and requeened late in the season. I have taken no honey this year as I wanted to let the bees keep what they had made to see them through the winter. I am looking forward to learning more and adding more hives to my apiary. Thank you.

have you treated them for varroa?

Welcome ... sounds like you are well on your way to becoming a beekeeper. Hopefully this forum will get you through the next terrifying stage of beekeeping ... the second year where they usually contrive to leave you in a state of total confusion and panic ...
