A festivity dearly cherished by every tyre dealer and the occasional body shop on th island no doubt.

As a youth, I understood Cyprus Racing Colours was a euphemism for red-lead, then used as an undercoat.

I don't suppose that there are many roads left that have summer strips for passing vehicles?
My memories go back some 52 years, so are well dated.

I can see you are glad to be living outside the village on fiesta days.

Me thinks that is Swindon on a Saturday night - more boy racers and tyre shops per head of population than anywhere else in the UK.

(actually I did just make that statistic up but it feels like it and anyway I'd bring back hanging if any little tear-away tried that on my road. Actually hanging is a bit soft. What I meant was the rack, for a little stretching, then a few gunshots, then hanging, drawing and quartering)

Guess I won't be voting for Mr Brown then ?!!?
