Had a couple of hives years ago but Varroa did them in. Last year started with a Warre hive and a swarm. Excited again. Bought a second hive. Hereford.

Hi and welcome did you use any treatments last time. What’s the plan this time around.

Aaah. Good question. Ummm. Varroa was brand new back then so I had no chance to do anything. This time round, need to think. I’ve done nothing since June - obviously spent many times watching, listening. Hefted the three boxes in October, good weight, removed bottom box as it was empty. Lately watching flights, plenty of bees. Will add the third box back next month.
