Hmmm.... it carries this warning:

"Trying this method on dark native mellifera bees will result in an act of cruelty to animals and might cause bodily harm including anaphylactic shock to the person intending to copy the method shown above."

After reading some things on that web page I think I'll take half of what they say with a pinch of salt!....seems like a badly translated web page at times

He says they keep Buckfast Bees. I googled and go info from Buckfast Abbey here: http://www.buckfast.org.uk/site.php?use=bees

Are they any more docile than native bees?
Our mentor's bees seem very amenable to me.
