My first bees

As promised a couple of shots of my first bees a couple of years ago. It was a cast swarm and very prolific. I tried using starter strips on the super frames which worked well, thin wax and large cells for maximum honey.

very nice photos dulwichgnome, yes they look like italains i n first photo but second looks as though it is shortley after you re queen with Bickerstaff buckfast/cyrpus or a had superscedure as you have some bees with less gold tham AML

or was it as upercedure...did they go more agro? and you re queen with bickerstaffs queens?
