Moving to a 12 x 14 brood box

My one colony was strong last year. I put a super under the regular brood box so they had enough food and space during the winter. I think they are OK now because bees are flying in and out on warm days. I would like to move them from a regular brood box to a 12 x 14 brood box so I can do away with the bottom super next winter. Any advice how I do this?
