So back in the summer I placed a wanted ad on my local Freecycle site asking if anyone had an old unused petrol lawnmower.

A week later I had a reply and went to collect a very nice hand push Briggs and Stratton lawnmower with a 3.5HP engine.

The only thing wrong with it was the pullcord had snapped.

After getting a new cord and rubber grip for around £4 it fired up first pull of the handle and has since done a great job on mowing the grass around my hives.

Now the problem starts,I took some rubbish to my local tip last week and noticed in the corner was a Briggs and Stratton 6HP mower with power drive.

I got it home in the garage and the only thing wrong was the handle had snapped at the bottom.

5 minutes later and my Mig welder had it sorted.
No more hand pushing for me plus it has the nice heavy roller on it for lawn stripes.

You see my problem is I now find myself looking on Ebay at sit on mowers!

Does anyone know of a Lawmowers anonymous group.
AHHHHH help me :D

I always come back from the tip with more than I took!

I have a very nice sit on Westwood Mower, it even has headlights.

OH has dared me to cut the grass in the dark next summer!
