I spent today sorting out combs that have been stored in my shed. I have some brood combs that have pockets of pollen that have gone mouldy.
How do people deal with these?

you need will to take them to an honeycomb repair facility were they have experts in dealing with this who will remove the mould and re polish the comb cells. :)

Yes it’s a pain I use a lot of broods for supers and always end up with some. You can find with reasonable new comb you can scrape back to the foundation and small patches the bees will clean up. The best bet I find though is to return the combs with pollen on to bees or expanding nucs after extraction, it prevents the problem from the start.
