I have mother and daughter Queen following a single mid frame spereseedure cell in June and a misfiring queen at that time

My young supercedure queen, all fat and yellow has been laying along side my over wintered thin brown mis firing Queen for three weeks, both heads down exchangling pheromones etc

It is something i have not seen before, though often heard of ,so does any one have veiws on:

1) How long can this Mother & Daughter relationship last?
2) How do they get rid of the old queen
3) or should i remove the old queen now( onther one for Bcrazy)

They should both go into winter yet only the daughter will survive.

I am not sure if they stop feeding the old queen, fail to keep her warm, remove her from the hive or she gets stung..

Anyone ?

A very good friend of mine on a large bee farm had one run for 18 months. Known by the marking on both queens.
