Mini nuc virgin/mated queen tooting.

Hi I'm waiting for a virgin queen in one of my mating nucs to start laying, and today I was going through an ajasent hive and she was making hell of a racket tooting.
She is taking longer than some of my others to start laying..
What's going on?

I assume that there is just one queen in that hive?
Is she tooting "Git orf my land" to a queen in a mini-nuc within 'taking distance', not realising that they are in seperate boxes?

Well there are two kielers next to each other one has a virgin/ mated in the other queen seems to of disappeared after Mating fliets.
To the left are 6 frame Mating nucs 4 in total, the first two have mated next to the kielers and the ones to the left have polished cells... Hopefully explained it OK.
Im going back over today to just top up kieler feeders with honey.
Could be what you said which is what I thought the tooting represents?
