There was a feature on Midlands today at lunch time today about bee's.

I think it should be on at 6.30 today for anyone in the Midlands area.

That was me and nigel on telly with our hives. Nigel has the red bee suit. :)

It was a short article on Midlands Today, commenting on allocation of research funding for honey bees, and 'our Nigel', who is 82 next birthday did a 'piece to camera' on winter feeding with syrup, with me assisting and observing opening the hives etc.

There were other shots of the beehives and bees on frames etc.

We maintain one of the hives as the 'BBC Midlands Today' beehive, and they come and film it from time to time.

Trouble is nobody ever remembers which one it is, Ha Ha. :)

is it a bl**dy 'real media' effort? is it not available on the i-player?

Here's a couple of still pics if anyone's interested

Fris, as you can see by the 'fisherman' type size estimation in pic 1, it's quite a big one really, but perhaps you never noticed :)
