Anyone got a link for a supplier of mesh?

I'd like to make some double screen boards this year so will need some.

Also what size mesh should I be using?

Thanks in advance

Ash

Thornes off cuts at sale times, £5 for 10 sheets, cheapest you can get anywhere at anytime i found. Not big enough for full hive floor but okay for Nucs most of them.

It's worth spending the extra ££ and buying stainless steel if you use MAQS, ditto for queen excluders. The formic acid fumes will corrode galvanised steel after a few years.

Depends how much you want.............................you can buy a roll of stainless mesh that will do over 100 floors for about the price of enough to do 20 at ANY appliance dealer. United Wire, Edinburgh..they make it there. In theory you can go to 8 guage and it will be ok but bees heads get stuck in it..and that is a mess at migration time...so we always go for 10 gauge. Speak nicely to them and they will even cut it to size and box it up for you.

and yes..quite correct..always take the stainless option. It lasts forever.
