Hey All,

Any members of Manchester & District Association?

I'm just wondering how to go about joining? I don't have a printer (well I've got two but neither work)

I've been chatting to someone about siting hives on a new solar farm in spring but they only work with registered BBKA members and I'm not yet registered (naughty I know).

Thanks in advance

Try this:

If you have any problems, please PM me; I'm a Trustee.

Ahhh thankyou Dusty. Last time I went online to do it there wasn't an option available to join online. I've e-mailed Joy anyway to get a form sent out but if I can do it online that's even better.

Thankyou:winner1st:

You are, presumably, at least in your fourth season. Do these requirements mean that any rookie beek can keep bees on their plots as long as they join this lot yesterday. There are some really clever idiots out there! They may find that the insurance cover is not as good as others may have.

The bee farmers association insurance for one, and stricter criteria to become a member, yet would not be allowed to site hives on land owned by these people.

Quite right, too!:icon_204-2:

Think here 50+ hives being over-wintered could result in quite a bit of 'window cleaning' being required after a few cleansing flights!

Nope, the only stipulation was that I am a member. Spring will be my first time but thankfully I've got a couple of good mentors. Must say that I found it odd too but there we go, peeps be cray cray lol

your better joining ormskirk and croston as they rent extractors and are actually closer cuz you dont have to contend with M60. i did my course with MDBKA but join O and C secord year as Mdbka didnt rent exstractors.
