With polystyrene hives in view:

Has anybody any experience of security marking them.

I see Swie*ty do a branding machine - seems pretty expensive though.

Micro-chipping is another thought. Does anybody know where these and the attendant identifier can be bought?

Any ideas please.

Mine are painted in "my colours" and I could identify them at a glance.

Just use an indelible pen to put your post code inside, and if you really are worried about theft then mark all your frames.

I just keep them well hidden, oh yes and under the eye of armed police. :)

Microdots might be a better and easyer to obtain item?

About £26 will do 50 parts, or about 10- 15 full hive parts

But this all assumes you get them back to ident them, and aslo person steeling them will think they are not marked.

Best to paint them some bright colours, or best still keep the hives and your activty hidden.
