I can vouch for the fact that this goes on with musto sailing gear and wesuits. My mate owned his own company in both. Went out to the factories himself and organised the same suits as all the major wetsuits with his logo on - half price. So would assume the same is true.

I have no idea what make mine is - Christmas pressie - been out the bags once to make sure it fit and packed away in storage ready for the move. However when secretly questioned which i would prefer a whole suit or a smok and trousers I chose the smok and trousers. If I hole an all in one a few times and repair over the years in the end it's a whole new suit. If I do mine in I just have to replace whichever bits non repairable. Sure there will be arguments against that theory but I use many types of specialist clothing for various hobbies and that's what I have decided for beekeeping. Just a thought. And mine came from Th****s.

I bought a cheapish suit on ebay last year £45, the zips have broken, the wire around the veil has torn through the cotton.
I want one that will last. The broken one can be a spare.

I dont know about the rest but BB as far as I understand make their own or at least out-scource to locals who were made unemployed from a local clothing manufacturer.
I have a BB suit and am more than happy with it.
Cheers

BB Wear suits are issued to the Seasonal Bee Inspectors in Wales, and we at Conway BKA have bought about 20 for use at our apiary meetings. Well recommended!

Oddly enough I am waiting to hear from Poland for my new one.

And no I have not sent any money.

If you plan to visit Stoneleigh you will find deals and offers and be able to inspect them all in the flesh.

My BBwear full suit ref BB1 has been used for my first "novice" year of beekeeping and looks like new once washed. May be a bit more than most but looks like it will last for years. That said I did buy one on Ebay for SWMBO for a 1/3 of the price just in case I can persuade her of the joys of beekeeping which is not quite so well made but looks quite serviceable - time will tell......... if the suit last as well and I can persuade indoors to participate?

Latest suit is from fragile planet........ fencing veil type... old one is a sherrif, but a bit tight under the armpits if I wear my duffell coat under it!

I bought my suit from BB Wear , they were really helpful .
My suit was a special order as I wanted different coloured sleeves to the main body , This was no problem for them and it arrived within 5 days of order.

Fantastic Service

Got a full suit from Th ornes, excellent quality, appears well made and so far no problems. also got a smock from them in the December sale and again happy with it. Got a smock from Maisemore in their December sale and not happy with that one. the hat part is very thin plastic, I prefer the Th ornes one (and the Th ornes one cost less).

Bought a zipped "smock" from BB,well made and much better zips than others I have tried.Got it at the honey show and got a good show deal - also got one for the missus in a more feminine shade.I recon they're very good value.Bought a "cheapie" on fleabay a couple of years ago and the zips bust quite quickly- false economy in my opinion.

beeproofsuits

Has anyone got a 'beeproofsuit' - they look like an astronauts suit!

Ventilated and look good, havent seen anyone comment on them yet...

I have done cheap, made my own bought rubbish and got rubbish
Trated myself to a BJ S and they have missed nothing loads of pockets realy well made even velcro in the hood to seal around your neck makes you feel confident, loops to go over your thumb to stop it slipping back . and to say add a logo £££ its the best one I have ever had. and yes they are the top end of the market but if you look after it should last years.
Plus you can have a chat on the phone with somone that know what they are selling

So each to their own and ££££
