Hi,

I'd carried out swarm control on 2 of my hives by removing the queen to a nuc box, then making sure there was only 1 queen cell remaining in the original hive. It looks like neither of the new queens in the original hives have mated successfully - potentially due to the poor weather up here in central Scotland? My question is this, is it too late to try and re-queen these two hives by taking a frame of eggs from another hive?

Any advice much appreciated.

Should be fine….but bees rarely leave themselves queenless

I'm in the same situation, no sign of brood or queen, filling every frame with nectar, time will tell...
