Hi All. I came to your site to try to get an identification of the unfamiliar bees seen on Thursday in Cumbria. I'm hoping someone out there can help.

See the photo. There were three of them, all on the same alium flower head in the garden of Sizergh Castle near Kendal. They were looking very dozy, moving very slowly and stayed on the flowers the whole time we were watching them.

Many thanks

Hi ... wet bumblebee... Bombus terrestris or B. lucorum my best guess 🙂 🐝🐝🐝

Thanks to all for your help. It never occurred to me that it was just wet! John
