There's hardly anyone selling langstroth brood frames anyone got a good reliable cheap contract

Be careful, Robert: Lang frames are not one universal size. Have a look at Dave Cushman's A-Z and you'll find there are a surprising number of Lang frame variants. Now, whether these are likely to crop up or are on the way to extinction, I don't know, but I've had a few (enough) incidents where lugs have had to be sawn down (with bees on) to get them to fit into boxes (in one case, old UK Lang frames into an ancient Polish Lyson polybox, in another, new US frames into old Finnish Paradise Lang boxes). Not my equipment, btw.

Supply is not the problem; before buying I'd check compatibility with your boxes.

I buy mine as seconds at Beetradex.. c£40 for 50 jumbos..
About 30% of the normal price for firsts and just as usable.

The boxes from Modern Beekeeping - and their frames - are a slightly different size. Beware..

I find Thornes/Maisies seconds to be excellent.
