Thornes sell these. What do you do with them? Do you fill with water and melt the wax in a bain marie? Why can't you just put the wax in the tank and melt straight off? And why not use one of these as a cappings melter or honey liquifier?

I think Grizzly sold one of these last year,he should be able to advise.
 
I was considering one of these and went into Thornes yesterday to get some advice on this vs Dana Api Therma and I have decided to use the latter. The main thing that has put me off is that the honey should be kept in motion as 'apparently' the Kochstar has hotspots.

They do indeed have hotspots....
