I went through the laying worker colony today that i gave a frame of brood too last week.. jackpot they had drawn and capped many Queen cells... i knocked them all down and give them a mated Queen in a commercial cage near the frame of brood several bees showed interest but not overly aggressive (for now ? ).
I then went through the supers to see what frames i could nick and the two supers of four nearest to the Queen excluder also had many cells but they where all made from drone brood (some weird old shapes for sure).. i went through them all looking inside, half had dead larvae and half had a drone larvae in the top of the cell near to the tip.. i removed them all and closed up..
Here is a picture of one of the cells i took today.. it was around 1.5in long.
