I helped a friend out over the weekend. One of her hives appears to be suffering from dysentery. I've bleached the equipment that I used. I was wondering if I put my gloves through a 40 degree wash if that would be enough to kill any nosema spores on them?

Modern advise from f.e.r.a. is to use disposable gloves .

If you are using marigold type gloves a soak in a solution of washing soda will both sterilise and remove propolis deposits :gnorsi:.

Why not wear the marigolds with a light pair of disposable gloves over the top that can be discarded after each inspection or after each hive if necessary.
