Excuse the mesh floor, but i cant be arsed to build another one to suit, and this time i have left it natural colour.

I feel a swarm coming on :D

Is the stand made from timber?
If so I dont think it will hold a full hive with a couple of full supers.

It is, and i did think about this earlier, i may beef the stand up a bit actually.

However, i did test it with my weight and it didnt move an inch, i was well impressed LOL
Its 3/4" x 4" which you cant see from the photo as its edge on!

3/4 x 4

Wont hold up believe me. You will be better of with 4x2, 3/4 inch will hold for a bit then start bowing and well you guess the rest. Not trying to put down your efforts just trying to save you a mess later on. :cheers2:

2 full supers can weigh up to 60lb on their own without the hive bees roof etc.

No sorry thats no good at all,you need to send me that piece of machinery porn I can see in the background.

Well done on the hive..

:D machinery porn LOL

Its a terrible affliction, once you have caught "woodworkingmachineryitis" i believe there is no known cure.

However, it is nice to be able to combine two hobbies into one, but i can forsee a tad expensive :D

I am going to redo the stand tommorow, i will show you a stand, this will be the stand of all stands, it will stand the test of time and weight, you stand and watch :D

Forget "Steven Kings" Stand... Forget "Adam and the Ants" Stand and deliver...

THIS is what i call a stand :D

What is the bit of Dewalt kit on the left ?

Belt saw?

Ps That roof could blind aircraft pilots :coolgleamA: or you could always rig an extractor over the hive

The dewalt machine on left is a thicknesser, you shouldnt leave home without one!

I thought that the bees may like to do thier hair in the mornings, so i provided them with a tinplate roof!
I take it you dissaprove lol

I could not possibly disapprove it looks great and well made perhaps one suggestion make a pointy roof and then perhaps it just might take off and fly to mars and put Britain back in the space race again.

Why take off, when you can just beam there??? We all have to think about energy saving these days you know!

thats just gratuitous machine porn and has no place on a public forum such as this. (/G)
