Patches of ivy in full flower in Oxfordshire, earlier than last few years.

Mixed blessings.. good for the bees... not so good for those hoping to take more honey.

Covered in hundreds of wasps, bees and hoverflies, even quite a few hornet-hoverflies (hoverfly mimic) pic attached.

We're miles behind up here in North Wales.

Closed, very small buds.

I reckon 3/4 weeks before even the first bits start to flower.

Cant come quick enough, everything has gone now.
 
Here in South lincs the buds are like the ones in your first pic on the right so expecting them to flower in the next few days...

Is that an Asian Hornet?
