Today I have finally become a bee keeper. At 9.30 this morning a friend gave me a small colony from an AS he did earlier on in the year. Unfortunately when he did the split he left 2 queen cells and they swarmed with the first queen. I am left with bees covering about 4 frames, 2 frames of eggs and 2 frames capped brood. Hopefully they'll build up enough to get through winter.

Well done Hawklord ! :cheers2:

I am sure they will sort themselves out,it's still early enough for them to get going.

Enjoy Hawklord! Don't spend all your time staring in with your nose too close to the entrance like I did.:)

i would give them a feed of sugar syrup to get them going..best of luck
