A recent page from my PDA- the next 2 weeks look busy.
My numbering system is 00X= 3 frame nuc, 0X= six frame nuc and X= full size hive.
4/7/10 Sun: Done shook swarm on 2 drone laying nucs No 07 & 04 as couldn’t find queens. Put queen excluder extrance in place.
6/7/10 Wed: Take both queen cells from test frame out of hive No 4 and place one in each of drone layers No 07 &04 with protectors
Put mated queen in cage from Apidea No 3 into hive No 4
Take one queen cell from test frame out of queen-less hive No 002 (and leave one in) to put in prepared queen-less nuc No 006 with protector
7/7/10 Thur: Put mated queen in cage from Apidea No 2 into prepared queen-less nuc No 005
Put mated queen in cage from Apidea No 4 into prepared queen-less nuc No 004
Routine queen cell check on hives No 1,2,05,01,06,3,7,5,
13/7/10 Thu Remove queen cells from grafts in No3 and split the double brood hive- add cage mated queen from Apidea No 5 to queen-less part.
Put queen cells in empty apidea +/- make up more if necessary
Check No6 has superceded successfully
Check No 007 & 008 nucs have mated virgins
Unite 6 frame nuc No 01 & 05 to form full size colony

Any then it all starts again!!!!
