I did my first check on Sunday, but only 2-3 frames of a super which was very disappointing but at least the queen was there and there were eggs as well, but hardly any capped brood going to leave them for another 2 weeks and then check again hoping that there will be an explosion of brood by then.

Is there any thing else I should/could be doing to help them ?
Thanks

No sealed brood because it's been too cold for the Queen to lay. Eggs shows she's started. Apart from praying for the warmer weather to continue, not much else to do except wait, assuming they have plenty of stores.

Your report does not tell what is really going there

- how many frames bees cover
- how much free frames
- how many frames brood

After broodles period no explosion will happen during next 4 weeks.

eggs take 4 days that you see tiny larvae or larvafood on cell bottom. And good days have not been that many.
After one week you see the amount of larvae.

What you can do....
- keep ventilation small.
- shut the mesh floor
- reduce the bee room so big as bee occupye frames.

electring heating helps in this stage.

Has she got some room to lay if/when the weather turns warm?
perhaps the frame next to the brood can be empty on the side facing the brood.
Not sure if Polyhive's advice to score some of the store cappings near the brood, or is it too cold for that?
