Defra still states:

Latest situation

An Avian Influenza Prevention Zone (AIPZ) including housing measures remains in force across England. See the AIPZ section for further details of the measures that apply in the AIPZ.

Update 11 March 2021: Following successful completion of disease control activities and surveillance within the zone, the Surveillance Zone around a premises near Redcar, Redcar and Cleveland has been revoked. For further details, see the movement controls and licences section. While local movement restrictions have now been removed in this area the Avian Influenza Prevention Zone (AIPZ) measures remain in place across the whole of England.

There seems to be no evidence whatsoever of there being a relaxation - quite the opposite really, there is ample evidence of a more virulent strain being found in wild birds

Are we supposed to have locked our hens up or something?
they had to be confined in runs with bird netting small enough to ensure they didn't mix with wild birds. (well, in Wales anyway)

Yay! It's on Defra now as well.
Thank goodness. They've been spending every other day in the greenhouse for a change of scenery and the seedlings are going to have to go in there soon.

"Bird gatherings are still prohibited"

I have this image of chickens going "Eh up Doris, fancy heading down the park to meet Kev and Jane?"
