Bit of a light-hearted look at a DIY queen-rearing frame - nothing purchased: orange bits are stoppers from Tesco's 1000mg Vit C tubes; yellow bits are some hard plastic filter holders (I think) picked up at a boot sale years ago; frame etc - just offcuts.

But what I thought amusing was the 2 Royal personages in the centre, being flanked by workers on the Left, and Drones (as in the lazy buggers) on the Right - in near-enough perfect symmetry. A touch of political commentary, methinks :)

Oh - and the 2 virgins turned out to be real crackers - just hope they can fly, and find their way home.

How long do you leave the clearer board on and are there any bees left in in the supers when you take them off?
