Has anyone successfully used one of the plastic 2 litre ice cream containers (as supplied by Sainsbury's ... and many others I'm sure) as a contact feeder? They are narrow and fit into a nucleus hive very well.

They also used to do double depth 4 litre tubs ... but since I'm the ice cream consumer, but not purchaser, I never get to see these ... :(

I thought I'd ask before I make a sticky mistake :)

Even if it doesn't work Fatshark, I think that you need to check the tubs out for suitability. I'm told the raspberry ripple is particularly nice. :)

If you can't get a double deep tub, get a strawberry and vanilla too., with a drop of honey perhaps. All in the name of science.
