I am thinking of steeping crushed comb that is already in muslin in a 5 litre kilner jar and doing vodka to make honey liquor. Has anyone tried this?

No, I hanen’t. But I have been brewing mead. Resolved sticky capping wax in water with yeast. A couple of days later I fiched up the now not sticky capping wax, and dded more honey filled sticky capping wax.

No I haven’t, but that sounds good! Are you adding anything else? How long do you leave it? What else do I need to know to try it myself?

Someone did honey vodka a few years ago. I think it was just a case of soaking the cappings in the vodka.
I did it some time ago, it was definitely more of a liqueur than a flavoured vodka, very sweet and a bit sickly so we had to dilute it a bit.

With more vodka
