Hello people,
Was wondering just how long it would take workers to start laying in a queenless colony??:willy_nilly:
Thanks.

All depends on the bee's.......some will have laying workers sooner than others.

It would be unusual to see laying workers before 4-5 weeks of being queenless but depends on strain of bee and other 'unkown' factors.

I thought that a worker would only lay drones, so what would the point of that? I in my newbie state would say get a queen. The workers can turn a worker cell into a queen cell.
