How do bees secrete propolis 2-3 cm into a crack?

You may see that resin drills often along the hive Wall. At least the warm resin can drill into cracks. If the crack is above the bees, they can only cover it along surface. Inner cover board is such.

Who knows ? You may think that but how could I possibly comment ? It was a rhetorical question ....hidden in ambiguity ....

A bit like "overhead welding"!
