I was given this book for Xmas - a well written account about how swarms choose their new location.

Good info about bait hive success.

Nothing much at all about how to improve honey production.

Glad to have read it, not sure if I'll look at again with the same depth as I refer to Hooper, Yates + Yates etc.

Tom Seeley

Tom Seeley is speaking at the National Honey Show this autumn and has agreed to speak at the Lincolnshire BKA autumn lecture subsequently. He's considered to be a world authority in his field I undesrstand and certainly a leading light in the USA.

Just read it last month. There's very little in it about beekeeping, so not worth buying if you're only interested in it from that perspective - but it's a fascinating book about swarm decision making and the whole nature of how swarms behave in chosing nest sites. I'd thoroughly recommend it.
