I'm doing a honey tasting session at the Conwy Feast next weekend. Where can I buy disposable honey tasting sticks?

I used to use plastic coffee stirrer sticks, these break on set honey though.
Now I use plastic coffee spoons (as Finman says), 500 for a couple of quid from cash and carry (Bookers), much better. Watch out for the double dippers !

Do have to be careful with wooden sticks, most are all right but some do have a distinct and not that great taste when wet ie customer is sucking the last bit of honey off!

Plenty of wooden coffee stirrers/stick on fleabay and Amazoon - most are free delivery.

:yeahthat:

I bought a pack of 500 plastic coffee stirrers from 'Makro', they cost about £1:50, I also made it clear that there was no 'double dipping', they could taste as much as they wanted, but strictly no double dipping.

We use halved plastic drinking straws

And take a wetted cloth to mop up the sticky bits! (if facilities not available on site, and if the surface is wipeable, of course.) If it's your best bee tablecloth, secure some thick polythene over the tasting area.

I get mine from costco but if you only need a few swipe a couple from your nearest costa coffee!
