All this talk of comestibles is making me esurient...
 
As a Scot (exiled) I also like honey on porridge.
With jam as well and prunes or banana or pear or sometimes all at once...

Oh I forgot about that one.....I love esurient on my comestibles!!!!!yummy but only with set honey!!
 
Yes, nice ... apricot conserve is the French equivalent of marmalade I think ... funny how, in UK hotels, the mini jars that are always left out of the assortment is.... the apricot jam !
My father was a master baker. He used to use apricot jam to make sure the marzipan stuck to the wedding cake before he iced and decorated it. (and a couple of drops of glycerine in the royal icing so that it didn't go rock hard by wedding day)
