Honey Company in Hounslow

just trying to piece together a bit of family history and i remember in the 1960's, yes i am that old, going with my grandfather(now dec'd) to Hounslow or isleworth Middlesex to delivery his honey for bottling, he had in those days 200 hives

Now i am trying to find what the name of the honey company was and its address becuase the father of my grandmother owned the company (grandfather married the bosses duaghter)

any ideas of the name of the company or leads i can look at

As my workshop is in Hounslow this interests me a bit and I found this extract from the Hounslow Chronicle its actually quite recent and a dvd is available although if it is the place you are looking for still very much standing as a building.

the building is more iselworth but I think people in that area will prefer it to be Twickenham.

Also seen are Holme Court in Twickenham Road, once the home of Vincent van Gogh, when he was a teacher, and later the honey company Garvins, with its unofficial blue plaque in memory of the artist.

If it is the building its a fantastic Georgian building and despite recent development still looks reasonably good if you have any childhood memorys of the place you may remember it or if you remember a chap with one ear walking around talking to himself.

It also appears that The Garvin Honey Company are still going and was established in 1927 buying honey from beekeepers.

I've had a quick look through both without success, but you might have more luck if you search on the name of the owner.

talked to my aunt today, and yes, it is the building with the plaque, thanks for the imput everyone, And i pass it about once a month, never realised it was that biulding

i have no connection now with the 1927 company though, except without it, i would not be here
