In Mk I version they initially came as a job lot, being well attached to each other.

Well done for giving it a go, the first one is always a bit of a learning curve but it looks as if it will work just fine.
I'm going to make some up just like it, using PH's idea as well, just as soon as i've finished making up hundreds of frames, not a job I like....
 
Is the description (Please note the majestic clean lines and microscopic attention to detail.) for the woodwork or the plastic bee escape?
I must be missing something here because on the David A. Cushman website there are loads of bee escapes of different designs, it also as the one used by Monsieur Abeille,
Although he looks to have cut it in half.

that was the whole point of the original PH post (which MA used as inspiration). Halved rhombus escapes (=triangles) and two holes in board.
