I have taken a couple of shots of a flowering bush and tested to see if it produced pollen. To my amazement it did produce a few pollen grains. So now I would like to know the name of the plant.
The piece I took came from a well established bush about six feet tall and at least six to eight feet wide. It has leaves which look like its flowers if that's possible.
Thanks for helping.

Thats what I thought it was!!! Honeysuckle.

Mo, when was that picture taken?

Id take a gamble on it being a varient of winter flowering jasmine.

Hi jimbeekeeper & Heather,

I don't think its honeysuckle as I have a load of Honeysuckle at home and its not time for the honeysucle to begin showing its flowers.
The cutting was taken off the bush on Tuesday 13th inst.
The photo was taken this morning.
So honeysuckle it deffinately is not.
Thanks for the input.

Sory members its none of the afore mentioned.

Where we would normally see the flower head we only have the coloured leaves on this cutting.

I have upoaded a couple of replys to the type of bush it might be, but again its neither of these.

With reference to my question of the plant, an answer has come from 'whiskeywill' a member of the BBKA forum.
The plant is Glossy Abelia - Abelia x grandiflora

Thanks to all those that replied.
