We want to buy a heather honey press to hire out to members. We have abundant heather nearby and want to encourage more members to produce heather honey.
Is the Thorne's heather press a good machine?
Any suggestions on other presses?
I bought an MG press via a wanted ad in BeeCraft some years ago, but would prefer not to lend it out. Are they still available?
Thanks

Why a press rather than a loosner? Just a thought.

Pressing is a very hot and sticky way to do it. ;)

MG = Mountain Grey and they are long long defunct as far as I know.

My wax melter is based on a design of theirs.

I used a Perforextractor for many years, before buying a press. It left about 20% of the honey in the comb after extracting.

2nd thoughts a bit beyond the average association at £3k+
